Dear Friends of Plants,
I hope you had a wonderful holiday surrounded by family and friends. This was the first time I've been back in Calgary for the holidays in 5 years, so it was great to be back. I have taken this time to read and work on new projects.
In particular I have been focusing on studying the Goethean Science method and applying it in my day to day life. Some wonderful resources have fallen into my lap without even trying, which suggests to me I'm on the right track. The path of least resistance often feels to me like the path of the heart. This winter I will be doing a series of Goethean Plant Studies at the lovely Light Cellar. The event details can, as always, be found below.
I am also super excited about a collaboration I will be doing with Roni's Kitchen in May. I've gotten a lot of requests to go from forage to table, so this weekend getaway of foraging and cooking is an answer to that. In an intimate group of 8 no doubt it will be a lot of fun!
Later this month I will be away for 10 days at a silent meditation retreat called a Vipassana. I have practiced meditation as a way to keep positive, energized and connected to my heart for many years, but no doubt this will be an intense and challenging experience. I am looking forward to sharing that experience with you in next month's newsletter.
That's all for now.
Wishing you a warm & safe winter,
Latifa |
